A definite need has become apparent for Interactive Education. In the digital age of today, youths demand immediate results. They do not want to just learn from a text book, but prefer to interact with the subject that they are studying. How has 360sa met the challenge?

Students Travel around South Africa on a Virtual Road Trip

Students enjoy road trips and school outings very much. It allows them to interact with the subject (a monument for example), and deeply entrenches in their minds the experience, history, and sense of understanding of the subject. This has a far more powerful impact on the mind of youths than text book with static pictures.

360sa is in the process of compiling 360 degree interactive images for a series of attractions in South Africa for use in education. Students will now be able to "travel" to each tourist attraction, and experience it as though they are really there!

Huge cost savings

Many schools and colleges in South Africa are not able to plan more than just 1 school outing or road trip per year, per class, simply because of the huge costs involved. The bus, fuel, accommodation, supervision, entrance fees, etc all add up to an alarmingly high figure! Wouldn't it be great to be able to just teleport the entire class to the location for a few hours, and then back again?

"These 360 degree images give the students the impression that they are really there! Traveling to places they may never be able to physically visit."

Now it is possible for educators to take the entire class to each location in the syllabus, and show them around. It is even possible to walk around (jump to various points where photographs were captured at a particular location) and interact with the location by moving the image in any direction, 360 degrees.

"What an unbelievable impact on the minds of our students!"

Below is an example virtual tour of the Voortrekker Monuemnt in Pretoria. This is an example of one of the many historic attractions that students can now visit at the click of a button with our 360 degree interactive virtual tours.
