Glossary of Terms used in the 360 degree panoramic photo business.
360 Photo is a single 360 degree panoramic photo, also known as a spin, or simply a 360. The image is viewed is a special player that allows the viewer (that's you) to look around at the complete 360 degree x 360 degree image.

Virtual Tour is a collection of 360 photos (spins). These 360 photos are linked together in some way, often with a thumbnail gallery, or a simple list menu, or even with clickable hotspots inside the image itself.

360 SA - 360 South Africa is the name of the company which creates all the 360 degree panoramic images you find on this website, and many others. Based in South Africa, and owned by John Gore.
Google Earth is a free map software created by Google Inc , on which 360 SA publishes many of our 360 degree panoramic photos.
Download Google Earth here , and activate the 360 Cities layer (under Layer, Galleries on the left panel.)
Google Street View is a feature of Google Maps which allows the user to dive down to street level, and look around in 360 degrees at what it would be like to stand there, on that street. Soon Google Street View will be available for many streets in South Africa, covering most of the cities.
